Sustainable Energy Financing Platform in Austria (SEFIPA)
The Sustainable Energy Financing Platform in Austria (SEFIPA) is designed as an action oriented platform to collect, develop, implement and disseminate innovative ideas to accelerate finance for sustainable energy. In contrast to the prevailing approach in Austria of subsidy based support of sustainable energy activities, SEFIPA will focus on increasing private sources of funds.

One answer to this question is the ÖGUT RIS: Responsible Investment Standard – basic.The approach is based on divestment: starting from a blacklist, companies with business activities that raise serious ethical problems and states with particularly unethical practices are excluded from the portfolio.
Sustainability certification of corporate retirement and pension funds
The OEGUT evaluates and certifies corporate retirement and pension funds against sustainability criteria yearly on a voluntary basis. Over the years a sustainable investment-standard has developed from this assessment process, making this group into absolute pioneers within institutional investors.
Within this project, crowdfunding involves approaching private investors for numerous small donations that will be used to finance climate change projects in developing countries. At the moment we are looking for current projects from Austrian project developers in developing countries.
Social Responsible Investment - Training Course
The Sustainable Investment Training Course project deals with the joint advancement and transfer of the existing Austrian Training Course for Sustainable Investment towards several European partner countries, namely Belgium, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The project is part of the Lifelong Learning Programme (LEONARDO DA VINCI Transfer of innovation) and has been funded with support from the European Commission.
