Establishment of Circular Economy Hubs in Armenia and Moldova
Im Rahmen von EU4Green Recovery East unterstützt die ÖGUT lokale Stakeholder in Armenien und Moldau bei der Entwicklung und Etablierung nationaler Circular Economy Hubs. In Kooperation mit Impact Hub Vienna und Thinkubator fokussieren die Aktivitäten auf den Aufbau von relevanten Kapazitäten, die Pilotierung von Projekten und den Netzwerkaufbau.

Austria is learning circular economy
The implementation of an Austrian circular economy requires a wide range of skills and new forms of cooperation. In close collaboration with educational institutions, companies and other relevant stakeholders, ÖGUT develops target group-specific training courses and advisory services and builds up a corresponding stakeholder network. -
Study: Skills needs in the circular economy and circular production in Austria
Together with KMU Forschung Austria, ÖGUT assessed skills needs in the seven key transformation areas of the Austrian Circular Economy Strategy and developed recommendations on which training offers could meet these needs across Austria. -
Support for the Implementation of the Circular Economy Strategy
The Austrian Circular Economy Strategy outlines the next steps for its implementation. ÖGUT supported the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management (BMLUK, formerly BMK) in particular with the development of a monitoring and evaluation concept, the preparation of the 2025 progress report, and in the area of standards.

HolzKreislauf - Study on solutions for circular timber construction in Austria
The aim of the study is to determine the circularity of various timber building product groups in construction and to identify the most important challenges and fields of action in the various construction life cycle phases to improve circularity, as well as to visualize the mass flows in 2023 and in an optimal scenario for 2050. -
TransformKMU - Transformation and RRI (Responsible Research & Innovation) for SMEs in the Austrian innovation ecosystem
The competitiveness of Austrian SMEs is to be increased through the increased use of digital technologies, in particular automation through key technologies such as AI, taking RRI into account. -
Support services for the RTI priority “Circular Economy & Production Technologies”
The RTI priority “Circular Economy & Production Technologies” of the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI) uses research and innovation to drive the transition in resource use and support Austria’s shift towards a circular economy. ÖGUT supported BMIMI with thematic screenings for the definition of research priorities, with knowledge management and information activities for the dissemination of research results, and with the engagement and networking of relevant stakeholders.

Tech4Green – Disruptive Technologies for Sustainable Production
Within the framework of the project, an example catalogue of disruptive technologies in the field of "Tech4Green" was developed together with actors from science, industry and public administration. Furthermore, RDI recommendations for action in the field of sustainable production technologies were developed. -
Secondary Materials in the Austrian Textile Industry
This study deals with the challenges and potentials for the use of secondary materials in the Austrian textile industry. It identifies challenges and potentials for establishing cycles in the textile industry with a focus on the use of secondary materials in Austria based on broad stakeholder involvement. Based on this, recommendations for research and development activities were formulated to promote recycling. -
Stakeholder dialogue “bio-based industry”
The OEGUT is supporting the Department for Energy and Environmental Technology within the Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology in the conception and organisation of a string of workshops on the topic of the “bio-based industry”. The aims of this stakeholder dialogue is to give actors an insight into current R&D activities, a chance for networking and to enable and encourage an intensive information and experience exchange.
