In this project the potential application of the innovation-driving public procurement instrument in the area of Smart Grids will be tested. Anchoring the bio-based industry within the national bio-economy-strategy
This project aims to support the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology in bringing results derived from the bio-based industry into the discussions between the inter-ministerial working group for the creation of a research, innovation and technology strategy and to position these topics as significantly recognized technological research objectives in the context of a planned government statement.

Check the Energy! Low-energy farming with children and young people
The central focus of this project, funded by the Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology, was awareness-raising amoung school children on the topics of energy efficiency, economical handling of energy and the communication of an approach to solving the problem of year-round vegetable production.

Alpine Energy Meetings on Advanced Technology - AlpEnMat
During the Alpine Space Programme 2007-2013, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, various projects have been dealing with low–carbon economy, energy efficiency and sustainable mobility. Dozens of enterprises have been involved in these projects and could prove their ability to develop and deploy innovative solutions in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies as well as sustainable mobility.

Hot Spot Analysis on the sustainability aspects of cereal production

Stakeholder dialogue “bio-based industry”
The OEGUT is supporting the Department for Energy and Environmental Technology within the Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology in the conception and organisation of a string of workshops on the topic of the “bio-based industry”. The aims of this stakeholder dialogue is to give actors an insight into current R&D activities, a chance for networking and to enable and encourage an intensive information and experience exchange.
