Mobility poverty is a growing social and economic problem in Austria, affecting around 6% of the population. This has far-reaching consequences for social participation and economic development. A standardised and comprehensive definition is required in order to establish targeted measures to tackle mobility poverty.

Austria is learning circular economy
The implementation of an Austrian circular economy requires a wide range of skills and new forms of cooperation. In close collaboration with educational institutions, companies and other relevant stakeholders, ÖGUT develops target group-specific training courses and advisory services and builds up a corresponding stakeholder network.

IEA UsersTCP "Empowering all: Gender Equality for the Energy Transition”
Intersectional factors such as gender, age, and socioeconomic status influence access to and use of energy in private households. The resulting inequalities are examined in the project through a survey, focus groups, policy guidelines, and a TCP Gender Knowledge Hub for inclusive energy transitions. This contributes to a fairer, more sustainable energy transition and promotes systematic inclusion in energy policy.

ALPHA - Advancing 5th-Generation District Heating and Cooling Networks in Alpine Space
In order to counteract climate change in the particularly sensitive macro-region of the Alps, the Alpine countries have set themselves net-zero targets for heating and cooling. The ALPHA project, which is co-financed by the EU, is developing ways to decarbonise the Alpine heating, cooling and building sector.
