ALPHA - Advancing 5th-Generation District Heating and Cooling Networks in Alpine Space
In order to counteract climate change in the particularly sensitive macro-region of the Alps, the Alpine countries have set themselves net-zero targets for heating and cooling. The ALPHA project, which is co-financed by the EU, is developing ways to decarbonise the Alpine heating, cooling and building sector.

Feasibility Study on active cooling and temperature control in multi-storey residential buildings supplied with district heating
A feasibility study is being conducted for 5 multi-storey residential buildings in Vienna to determine how these buildings can be cooled in the future in combination with a district heating supply in the face of increasing cooling requirements. The technical, economic, social and ecological aspects of feasibility are being taken into account. Based on the 5 residential complexes examined, recommendations for a future cooling concept are being drawn up for different building types.

Climate conference in St.Stefan-Afiesl
The municipality of St. Stefan-Afiesl is inviting its residents to a climate conference in autumn 2024, during which measures to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions will be developed. The relevant data will be collected in advance and reduction measures that fall within the municipality's area of responsibility will be examined.
