Julia Petschinka

Biography

Mag.^a rer.nat Julia Petschinka has been responsible for public relations at ÖGUT since October 2020.

After studying quantum physics with Prof. Anton Zeilinger at the University of Vienna and post-graduate training as a science communicator at the IFF (Institute for Interdisciplinary Research and Training), she took over the project coordination of a large international EU project on quantum cryptography at the AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology. In addition, she was also responsible for science communication and international press relations at the AIT.

She then moved to datenwerk, where she worked as a social media strategist, consultant and online PR expert. Most recently, she was responsible for press and communication at the Center for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Sciences CMESS at the University of Vienna.
