  • MuT – Mobility and Participation

Mobility poverty is a growing social and economic problem in Austria, affecting around 6% of the population. This has far-reaching consequences for social participation and economic development. A standardised and comprehensive definition is required in order to establish targeted measures to tackle mobility poverty.

  • IEA UsersTCP "Empowering all: Gender Equality for the Energy Transition”

Intersectional factors such as gender, age, and socioeconomic status influence access to and use of energy in private households. The resulting inequalities are examined in the project through a survey, focus groups, policy guidelines, and a TCP Gender Knowledge Hub for inclusive energy transitions. This contributes to a fairer, more sustainable energy transition and promotes systematic inclusion in energy policy.

  • IEA User-Centred Energy Systems – Empowering All: Gender Equality for the Energy Transition

The OEGUT supports the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) in developing country-specific recommendations for integrative energy strategies. This concerns political interventions and technology developments.
