Smart Grids Strategy Process

The term Smart Grids is becoming more and more recognised both nationally and internationally: know-how and implementation strategies have been developed via multiple projects and pioneering regions. The Austrian technology platform “Smart Grids” brings industry interest groups together and international co-operations have been established through the “Cooperation Smart Grids D-A-C-H” and also via connection to the IEA’s “Smart Grids European Technology Platform” and the “International Smart Grid Ac-tion Network” (ISGAN). The annual event “Smart Grids Week” has become an important forum for knowhow and experience exchange. The goal of the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit) is to bring all of these current activities together to highlight further perspectives on the implementation of Smart Grids.
