Site certificate
Within the framework of the project “Zertifizierung von Siedlungen / Quartieren” (engl. Site certificate) the possibility of transferring the Swiss “2000-Watt Site” certificate to Austria was assessed by stakeholders from Austria and Switzerland: in how far can the existing Swiss system “2000-Watt Site” certificate (for newly build areas) as well as ongoing and planned propositions to expand the system to city planning processes and existing areas provide a basis for Austria?

Smart Meters at School
In this project, ÖGUT will produce videos explaining all aspects of this technology, positive and negative sides as well. Furthermore, we will hold workshops in three schools in Vienna, in which the pupils will have the change to get in though with actual Smart Meters and related aspects of energy provision, and energy demand and the role that Smart Meters can play in Smart Grids of tomorrow.

Envietech2015 & The National Prize for Environment and Energy Technology 2015
The national prize for energy and environmental technology was awarded by Reinhold Mitterlehner (Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs), Andrä Rupprechter (Environment Minister) and Alois Stöger (Technology Minister) for the fourth time in 2015.This prize gave organisations, communities, universities and non-academic research institutions and other actors or societies the opportunity to put forward innovative projects, products, processes and services in the area of environment and energy technology.

Smart Grids and public procurement
In this project the potential application of the innovation-driving public procurement instrument in the area of Smart Grids will be tested. To do this, relevant Smart Grids technologies will be identified and evaluated for their relevance for both communal application and for other institutions which are subject to public procurement.

Small Wind Power Stations: Quality Assurance, Grid Connection, Business Models and Information
The objective of this project was to resolve technical, legal and organisational questions regarding small wind power stations. From the results of the performed analyses specific information packages have been prepared targeting all groups of stakeholders involved in the process of planning, permitting, constructing, grid-connecting and operating small wind power stations.
