Support for the Development of a National R&D Roadmap for Geothermal Energy in Austria (GeoMap)
With the participation of representatives from research, business and society, a national geothermal R&D roadmap is to be aligned with the current challenges and objectives for the future of energy. In a multi-stage, participatory process, the status quo, current trends and drivers are identified and the necessary research topics and priorities in the field of geothermal energy are addressed.

Renovation Solutions in Municipalities (GEMSanDialog)
The decarbonisation of the building sector is a key element in achieving the climate goals. The vast majority of the buildings that will make up Austria's building stock in 2040 have already been built. The major challenge and at the same time the greatest potential for savings therefore lie in the comprehensive modernization of the building stock. The aim of the project is - in dialogue with municipalities - to create awareness and knowledge transfer for renovation solutions.

IEA User-Centred Energy Systems – Empowering All: Gender Equality for the Energy Transition
The OEGUT supports the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) in developing country-specific recommendations for integrative energy strategies. This concerns political interventions and technology developments.

Process Support for the RTI-Focus on Circular Economy
In cooperation with the Federal Environment Agency and the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK), OEGUT accompanied the process of developing an Austrian circular economy strategy. The strategy process started in autumn 2020 and lasted until spring 2022.

IEA Equality in Energy Transitions Initiative
The Equality in Energy Transitions Initiative (formerly known as Clean Energy, Education and Empowerment - C3E International) is a Technology Collaboration Programme of the IEA and an Initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM). Its primary objective is to promote gender equality and diversity within the energy transition process with the goal of closing the gender gap by 2030.

NANO CYCLE: Nano materials and advanced materials in a circular economy and effects on recycling processes
Over the past years synthetic nano materials and so called “advanced materials” have been increasingly used in products. In many cases there are no labelling obligations for consumer goods containing nano materials. In this project, these components are going to be quantified in waste flows in a circular economy.
