• Studies of ecology (field of studies: biology) at the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology
• Major: environmental economics, environmental law and waste management
• Master’s thesis at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, institute for technology and commodity science, o.Prof. Dr. Vogel: "A licence fee as regulation instrument for the reduction of packaging waste – an analysis of the effectiveness of relevant normative regulations in Austria and other EU member states"

Professional career

• 3/1997-8/2001 Researcher at the Austrian Institute of Ecology, core focus on waste avoidance and waste separation
• 6/2000-8/2000 Project-related work at the Clean Technology Centre, Cork, Irland (three months educational leave)
• Since 9/2001 OGUT employee
• Since 6/2003 deputy General Secretary of OGUT
• Since 9/2006 member of the board
